The Grand Union Flag, often regarded as the first national flag of the United States, holds a significant place in early American history. First hoisted on December 3, 1775 by the Continental Army under George Washington’s command, this flag symbolized unity among the 13 colonies during the Revolutionary War. It marked a shift from the use of individual colonial flags to a unified symbol of solidarity. 

Its design featured 13 alternating red and white stripes representing the colonies, with the British Union Jack in the canton. As the Revolution progressed, the Grand Union Flag paved the way for the creation of the Stars and Stripes flag we know today.

All orders are shipped out within 24 hours. We have warehouses on both coasts to shorten shipping times.
